Ben Schwab 1966-2009

August 18th, 1966 - July 5th, 2009

Benedict "Ben" William Schwab, son of the late James Joseph Schwab and Carole Verne (Larson) Schwab Neuman, was born August 18, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. As a young teen, Ben attended high school in Marion, Michigan. Ben was a hardworking man and worked for Tracker Marine, Road Ranger and later after moving to the St. Robert area, AAFES. During his spare time, he enjoyed drawing and was very talented in construction work. He was always looking for the best way to build things. Ben passed away at 5:48 a.m., Sunday, July 05, 2009 at St. John's Regional Hospital in Springfield, Missouri as the result of a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident in St. Robert early Sunday morning. He had attained the age of 42 years, 10 months and 18 days. Ben will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by four children: Nathan and C.J. Schwab, both of the state of Michigan; Damon and Shae Schwab and their mother: Annette Madden all of St. Robert; eleven siblings: Jim Schwab (Darlene) and Dan Schwab all of Cadillac, Michigan, Vikki Schwab Troon, of Lake City, Michigan, Wendell Schwab (Tonia) of Marion, Michigan, Kevin Schwab of Manton, Michigan, Heather Schwab (Dave Johnson) of Lapeer, Michigan, Bernie Schwab (Jennifer) of Tustin, Michigan, Sean Schwab of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Carole "Tara" Schwab (Doug Klatt) of Temple, Michigan, Marjorie Barbosa (Nathan) and Matthew "Chris" Neuman (Birdget) all of St. Robert; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by two nephews: Daniel and Jeremy Schwab. Memorial services were held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the Mt. Gibson Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Soloist Chris Neuman sang "Amazing Grace" and Soloist Patty Goodrich sang "I Will Miss You". Burial was held in the Middle Branch Cemetery of Marion, Michigan. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ben Schwab and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory.
