SFC (Ret) Craven Rogers 1931-2009

Craven Rogers, 78 of Waynesville, a retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class, Korean and Vietnam Wars veteran, and retired civil service employee, passed away at 3:27 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2009 at his home.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11 at Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery, under direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.

Visitation is from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife: Ella; two daughters: Deborah Foster of Little Elm, Texas and Carmen Chadwick (Stephen) of Richardson, Texas; four grandchildren: Kathreen Foster, Jacqueline Campbell, and Morgan and Madeline Chadwick; one brother: Buck Rogers and one sister: Louise Love both of the state of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
