FRANK H. RICHARDSON, 1906-1990

Frank H. Richardson, 84, of Springfield, died in his home on Saturday, Sept. 8, 1990. He was born in Hancock MO on Aug. 20, 1906, the son of Alva and Kittie Sewell Richardson.
He was raised on his parents' farm in Hancock and lived in Dixon until 1927 when he moved to Granite City IL, where he retired from the Commonwealth Steel company, and moved to Springfield in 1973.
He was baptized in the First Christian Church in Dixon, was a WWII veteran, and a member of the VFW in Granite City IL.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his two sisters, Evelyn Richardson and Blanche Reimers of Springfield; 7 nephews, Bill Reimers and Robin Richardson, both of Florida; Floyd, Charles, and Jim Richardson, all of St. Louis; and David and John Richardson of Mississippi; a niece, Mrs. Helen Hanff of Moscow Mills; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Virginia Richardson of Wentzville; great nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne, Floyd, Claude, William, and Charlie.
Graveside services were held in the Dixon Cemetery on Monday, Sept 10, 1990, at 2 p.m., with Jehovah's Witness minister Rodney Moulder officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Riemers, John Richardson, Johnnie Logue, Bob Hanff, Charles Richardson, and Dorsey Sooter. Services were under the direction of Long Funeral Home of Dixon.
