Hobert "Buddy" Bull Jr. 1925-1987

Hobert “Buddy” Bull Jr., of Houston, Texas, formerly of Kansas City, was born on August 11, 1925, at Springfield, the son of Hobert Sr. and Mary Edna Cannady Bull, and departed this life on Monday, February 2, 1987, at Houston, Texas, where he lived for the past fifteen years. Mr. Bull had been in failing health for the past two years, and had attained the age of 61 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

Mr. Bull had lived in the Kansas City area until 1972 where he had worked as a country and western musician for the majority of his working life.

Graveside funeral services were conducted for Mr. Bull at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, February 14, 1987, in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon with the Rev. Louis Shives officiating. Cremation was prior to the service in Houston, Texas. The Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes assisted with the funeral arrangements of Mr. Bull.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Bull include: Two daughters, Mrs. DeRhonda Upton, Merriam, Kansas, and Miss Karen Nina Bull Belton; two sisters, Mrs. Jaunita Shives, Pryor, Oklahoma,a nd Mrs. Clara Nina Reese, North Kansas City, and other relatives and friends.

Many memories of Mr. Bull will be remembered by those who knew him.

Mr. Bull was preceded in death by his father, Hobert Bull Sr., on May 11, 1932; his mother Mrs. Mary Bull, and his grandmother, Mrs. Nina Bull Sudheimer on September 6, 1949. His father and grandmother are both buried in Kenner Cemetery near Dixon, and his mother is buried in a Kansas City Cemetery.
