Mrs. Marilyn Sue (Myers) Yantz 1950-1986

Memorial services for Mrs. Marilyn Sue Yantz, 35, of Kansas City, Kansas were held June 4, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church.  Graveside services at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery preceded the church services.

Mrs. Yantz was found Sunday, June 1, in the Missouri River after a canoe accident May 24 on the Kansas River.

She was born in August of 1950, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas 31 years.  She was a secretary for the regional manager of Jeans West.  Mrs. Yantz was a member of the Community Unity Church and a member of the Gateway Seminars.

Surviving are her husband, David C. Yantz, and three sons: David Charles Yantz, Daniel Joseph Yantz, and Eric Matthew Yantz, all of the home; her mother, Mrs. Edna Myers of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers: Charles Franklin Myers, Jr. of Wichita and family; James Patrick Myers and family of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and a sister, Mrs. Lyndia Williams and family of Richland, Missouri.  She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Franklin Myers.
