Bertha Belle (Hance) Warnol 1896-1981

Bertha Belle Warnol was born at Arlington, near Jerome, the daughter of Barry and Dora Agnes Allison Hance on February 5, 1896 and passed away in the Phelps County Regional Center in Rolla on Saturday morning, January 17, 1981.  She had attained the age of 84 years.

She was united in marriage to Charles Warnol in the Waynesville Court House by Rev. S.D. Scrivner on June 13, 1914.  They have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.  Unto this union 6 children were born.

She has been a member of the Pisgah Church in Dixon since April, 1914, joined Garnet Chapter No. 283, Order of the Eastern Star on March 10, 1947 and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held in the Gilbert Chapel on Monday January 19, 1981 at 2:00 p.m. with Pryor Ray Prewett officiating.  Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of the Gilbert Funeral Home of Dixon.

Serving as pallbearers were Ray and Gene Wagoner, Everett Sharp, Theron, Donald Ray and Carl Warnol.

Mrs. Warnol is survived by her husband Charles of the home; 3 daughters, Grace Collier of Dixon, Minnie Patton of Rolla and Gladys Hargis of Devil’s Elbow; 1 son Charles Jr. of Hurley, Mississippi; 1 brother Eugene Hance of Orlando, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 1 son James, 1 daughter Lucy, 2 grandsons, Jim and Clay Jr., 6 brothers and 1 sister.
