Evelyn (Ivey) Eason 1896-1985

Evelyn Ivey Eason of rural Dixon was born on April 4, 1986 in Gwinett County of Buford, Georgia.  The daughter of Reynold and Mary Ivey and departed this life on Monday afternoon, December 30, 1985 at the Waynesville Nursing Center in Waynesville, Missouri where she had been a resident since October.  Mrs. Eason had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 89 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Eason in Buford, Georgia, and to this union was born six children: four sons; Eugene, Jr. and Randolph Eason of Norfolk, Virginia, Charles Eason of Newport News, Virginia, Robert Eason of Baltimore, Maryland; two daughters: Helen E. Parker of Capitol Heights, Maryland, and Evelyn E. Revere of Dixon, Missouri.  She lived a full Christian life.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 5, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Elder Rachael Proctor officiating.  Music was provided by the Choir from the New Life Holiness Church.  A poem was read by Nelze Batchler.  Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri.  Those serving as escorts were family members.

She leaves to mourn a great deal of friends and relatives; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, mother and father, five sisters, and two brothers.
