Clarence Allen Parker 1921-1986

Clarence Allen Parker was born in Cuba, Missouri on March 18, 1921, the son of Benjamin and Lenner Ann Dodd Parker and passed away suddenly on January 3, 1986.  He had attained the age of 64 years.

He was united in marriage to Roste Fern Murry on December 30, 1941 and unto this union five sons and two daughters were born.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dixon and worked for the Gascosage Electric Company from 1954 until 1975 as a line foreman.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 6, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating.  Burial was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long Funeral Home of Dixon.

Pallbearers were John Roberson, Jerry Milligan, Stan Hayes, David Manes, Jim Malone and Steve Hauck.

He is survived by his wife, Fern of the home; three sons and their wives, Bob and Susan Parker of Cleburne, Texas; Virgil and Janet Parker of Dixon; and Roy and Kyong Parker of Osan Air Base, Korea; two daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Larry Blanchard and Doris and Bill Howser of Dixon; nine grandchildren, Jenny, Benjamin, Megan, Brad, Steven, Tommy and Charlie Parker, Misty Blanchard and Whitney Howser; three sisters, Easter Miller and Elsie Ash of Sullivan, and Lillie Coffman of Salem; two brothers, Herman Parker of DeSoto and Claude Parker of Salem; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lenner Parker, two brothers, Van and Willie Parker and two sons, Richard and Jimmy.
