Vernon William Vanderhoof 1962-1986

Vernon William Vanderhoof was born a son of David and Linda Vanderhoof at Camp Pendelton, California on April 21, 1962.  He departed this life on July 22, 1986 at the age of 24 years.

Vernon was baptized as a small boy in the Pentecostal Church.

He graduated from the Waynesville High School in 1981.  He collected comic books, enjoyed reading and music.  Vernon was a commander of the Sons of American Legion #311 of Waynesville, Missouri.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents of Waynesville; one brother, LeRoy Vanderhoof of Waynesville; and one half-brother, Leland Vanderhoof of the state of California.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 25, 1986 at 1:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Sanders officiating.

Music was provided by organist Dorothy Moore.

Escorts were: Jose Diaz, Bill Hammock, Don Keys, Sam Majewski, Johnie Pierpoint, and Mike Senovich.

Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial park Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
