Howard Claude Doyle 1934-2010

Howard Claude Doyle of Dixon was born near Dixon on June 24, 1934, a son of Claude and Flossie (McKinnon) Doyle and departed this life at 2:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, January 25, 2010, at his residence near Dixon. Mr. Doyle had attained the age of 75 years, 7 months and 1 day.
 
Mr. Doyle was united in marriage at Meta on May 28, 1955 to Betty Irene Wiles and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Marilyn Doyle; two brothers, William Doyle and James Doyle and one sister Jeanette Hambee.
 
Mr. Doyle was a long time member of the Pulaski County Land Owners Association; Chairman of the Pulaski County Soil and Water District; and was a board member for the Sheppard Cemetery. He was a heavy equipment owner and operator as well as being a farmer, raising crops and beef cattle.
 
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Doyle include: his wife, Betty Doyle, Dixon; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kim Doyle, Dixon; two grandsons, Hayden and Parker Doyle, Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services for Mr. Doyle were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon with Rev. Tom Cromwell, Living Word Worship Center, Dixon, officiating.  Two musical selections of “I’ll Fly Away” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” were played for the service.
 
Interment was in the Sheppard Cemetery, near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mr. Doyle were Travis Hauck, Luther Riddle, Chuck Edwards, Tommy Barkas, John Doyle and Paul Harrison. Honorary pallbearers were George Beasley, Kent Ledbetter, Paul Hand, Henry Hauck, Roy Doyle, Duane Doyle, Donley Dake and David Wiles.
