Tammy Christine Braun, daughter of Elmer Harry Braun and Lizzie Serena (Oliver) Pollard, was born January 10, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life Friday, January 1, 2010 in the St. Mary’s Health Center of Jefferson City, Missouri.
As an infant, Tammy was baptized in the Lutheran Church. She attended Lowell Elementary School while living in St. Louis and after moving to the Dixon, Missouri area, she attended Dixon High School where she met her very dear friend, Jerri Landis.
She was a very fun loving person and loved collecting tigers, whether they were stuffed animals or figurines. In general, you could say she loved cats. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed anything associated with the city of St. Louis. She liked watching and feeding the birds, especially cardinals. Her favorite thing was to drink a good glass of ice cold sweet tea and listening to the rock bands of the 1980s, especially KISS. She also liked Bruce Lee, Spiderman and Godzilla. One of her favorite things to eat was vegetarian egg rolls. She loved spending time with her dog, Moo Shoo and her cat, Ghost.
Most importantly, she treasured those times that she could spend with her family and friends, especially her “grandbaby boy”, Johnny and “grandbaby girl”, Jilly. She will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Tammy leaves to cherish her memory her “babygirl”: Christine Ringo and her husband Aaron of Lompoc, CA; father: Elmer Harry Braun of Lebanon, MO; mother: Lizzie Pollard of Linn Creek, MO; three sisters: Lizzie Ditch of Desoto, MO, Diane Munoz of Dixon, MO and Angie Nash of Desoto, MO; two brothers: Jerry Braun of Dixon, MO and Harry Braun of Linn Creek, MO; two grandchildren: Johnny and Jilly Ringo; several other relatives and friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents and one son: Eric Logan.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. Tammy’s daughter, Christine recalled her wonderful memories of her mother. The songs “Amazing Grace” by Elvis Presley, “Hallelujah” by Rufus Wainwright and “Can’t Stop Loving You” by Van Halen were played. Serving as escorts were family and friends.
Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tammy Braun and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory.
