Gary Max Carter 1949-2010

October 29th, 1949 - January 13th, 2010

Gary Max Carter, son of the late Perry and Ruby (Laughlin) Carter, was born October 29, 1949 in Richland, Missouri and passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri. He had attained the age of 60 years, 2 months and 15 days.

Gary grew up in Pulaski County and attended school. Gary loved to be outdoors enjoying nature. He also liked to watch television and his favorite thing to do was visit with all of his friends at the Sheltered Workshop. Gary will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory one brother: Sonny Carter (Linda) of St. Robert; two nephews: Charles Carter (Angel) and their two sons of St. Robert and Karl Carter (Beth) and their two sons of St. Charles. Gary also leaves his friends at the Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop and Sunset Village of the Ozarks.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2010 in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville with Rev. Jaurel Fincher officiating. Serving as escorts were Bill Debo, Kenneth Hess, Tom Wagoner, Benny Doolin, Lonnie Carter and Jaurel Fincher. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gary Carter and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory.
