John Henry Zeigenbein, the fifth of twelve children born to the late Edward and Dora Mae (Carver) Zeigenbein, was born June 28, 1937 in Waynesville, Missouri. As a young boy, John and his family moved to Crocker, Missouri where he grew up and attended school.
On December 15, 1956, John was united in marriage to Donna Poulson in Crocker, Missouri. They shared over 48 years of marriage together and were blessed with five children: Kenneth, Larry, Shawn, Regina and Autumn.
John was a very hardworking man. Right after he and Donna were married, John went to work for Skaggs Furnace Company in Crocker, Missouri where they built furnaces from start to finish and installed them in homes. After leaving Skaggs, John started working with Charlie Skinner at the Brown Shoe Company in Dixon, Missouri. John then returned to Skaggs Furnace before moving his family to Illinois where he began working in the timber industry cutting stave bolts. John and Donna moved back to Crocker and opened the Standard Oil Service Station. After selling the service station, John began working for Goodrich Gas Company as a driver. After leaving the gas company, John went to work for Missouri Transit Bus Lines. He helped maintain the buses and was also a driver and worked there until 1977. John drove a cab for the Post Cab Company until the early 1980s and then became self-employed. He loved to spend time in the great outdoors and was able to work outside in the timber industry.
On the weekends, John played country music all around the area. He had the privilege of playing with Lee Mace of the Ozark Opry and was featured on KTTS Radio on several occasions. He really enjoyed getting together with his friends and meeting the different people that they played for. In his spare time, he was an avid Archery Shooter and earned several awards for his shooting ability. Most importantly, he treasured the times that he could spend with his family and friends.
John passed away the evening of Thursday, April 14, 2005 in his home at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 17 days.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his wife Donna of the home; three sons: Kenneth E. Zeigenbein and his wife Linda of Devils Elbow, MO, Larry A. Zeigenbein and his wife Tonya of Crocker, MO, and Shawn Glenn Zeigenbein of Devils Elbow, MO; two daughters: Regina A. Zeigenbein of St. Robert, MO and Autumn Dawn Broome and her husband Stephen of Waynesville, MO; six sisters: Ruth Walters of Richland, MO, Betty Cochran of Iberia, MO, Georgia Zeigenbein of Waynesville, MO, Janie Lee and Rosie Taylor both of Enoree, SC and Peggy Wilson of Swedeborg, MO; four brothers: Clarence Zeigenbein of Waynesville, MO, James Zeigenbein of Campbellsburg, IN and Ted and Lewis Zeigenbein both of Richland, MO; six grandchildren: Erin Jo, Kayla Marie, Allison, Heather, Zachariah and Trevenn; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister: Evelyn Poucher.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 18, 2005 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Skinner officiating. Recordings of the songs "Lord I Hope This Day Is Good, "Making Memories of Us, "He Gets That From Me and "Amazing Grace were played. Serving as escorts were Pat Fincher, Ron Todd, Randy Walters, Rick Zeigenbein, Sam Zeigenbein and Tim Zeigenbein. Serving as honorary escorts were James Poulson, Wesley Poulson and Frank Zeigenbein.
Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

MR. DALE JOSEPH GREER
Dale Joseph Greer, of Crocker, was born on April 27, 1933, at Webster Grove, a son of Walter Wade and Sylvia (Story) Greer and departed this life at 8:38 p.m., Sunday, April 4, 2010, in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood. Mr. Greer had attained the age of 76 years, 11 months and 7 days.
Mr. Greer was united in marriage on April 11, 1998, at Crocker to Rosemary “Rody” Skinner. He was preceded in death by his wife on March 12, 2009; his father on March 17, 1978; his mother on August 18, 1989; four sisters, Maxine, Nadine, Norma and Betty.
Mr. Greer was a member of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker and a United States Army veteran. He had worked as a construction Forman and was a member of the Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 110 for over 50 years. He loved to fish, deer hunt, yard work and go to church singings.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Greer include: one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Patty Greer, Lebanon; two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, Danny “Moose” and Barb Lane, Dixon and Mike and Becky Lane, Swedeborg; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Doyle, Dixon; one sister, Judy Roebuck, Immokalee, Florida; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Greer at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Billy Claiborn, Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker, officiating. “The Old Rugged Cross”, “When We All Get To Heaven” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” were played for the service.
Interment with full military honors was in the Antioch Cemetery, near Crocker, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Greer were Dale Fall, Jason Fall, Kenneth Greer, Jr., Jimmy Doyle, II, Doug Burnett and Darrell Burnett.
Memorials are suggested by the family to the Crocker Senior Center in memory of Dale Greer, with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Crocker.
Donald Eugene Wright, of Crocker, was born on July 31, 1935, at Bonne Terre, a son of Roy Stephen and Anna Lea (Montgomery) Wright, and departed this life at 6:03 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood. Mr. Wright had attained the age of 75 years, 3 months and 19 days.
Mr. Wright was united in marriage on September 9, 1955, at Bonne Terre, to Barbara Ann Lachance and to this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-great-grandchild, Ashley Conner, one brother, Carroll Wright; and two sisters, Frances Tanner and Dod Rosen.
Mr. Wright was a veteran of the United States Army and had been a truck driver for Triple T Trucking for fifty years. When he was not on the road, he enjoyed spending time with his family and mowing his lawn.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Wright include: his wife, Barbara Wright, Crocker; two sons, Eddie & Michael Wright, both of Crocker; two daughters, Donna Sidwell and Mellissa Wright, both of Crocker; one brother, Glen Wright, Boston Massachusetts; two sisters, Charlotte Keen and Jen Stegall, both of Bonne Terre; fifteen grandchildren; twenty three great - grandchildren; two great - great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Wright at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Pastor Don Kabel, First Baptist Church, Crocker officiating. "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You", "Go Rest High on the Mountain" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were played for the service.
Interment with full military honors was in the Antioch Cemetery, near Crocker, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Wright were Bradley Anderson, Travis Harrison, Trent Harrison, Tony Wright, Chad Wright and Shaun Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Mitch Skinner and Ben Cable. Military honors were provided by the Leismann-Roberts American Legion Post No. 298, Dixon.
