Henry Harrison McKinnon 1867-1957

Henry Harrison McKinnon, son of Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon, was born October 24, 1867 and passed away November 16, 1957 at the age of 90 years and 23 days.

In 1905 he was united in marriage to Ella Clark. To this union seven children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, and a daughter, two brothers, and one sister.

Most all of his life has been spent in Pulaski County and around Waynesville where he had been engaged in the jewelry and watch repair business.

He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Grace Helm, of Crocker, and Edith Ray of Waynesville; three sons, Arthur and Everett McKinnon of Waynesville, and Robert Tebault of Orange, California, two stepsons, Coy Clark of Winfield, Kansas, and Harvey Clark of El Dorado, Kansas, three brothers, Hugh of Reno, Nevada, Ning of Stockton, California, and Phillip of Newburg, Missouri, two sisters, Alice Helms of Joplin, and Lula Kelly of Rockport, Illinois, 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was a devoted father and was always much concerned about the welfare of his family. He was a man who had great love, kindness, and consideration for all he met, therefore he was loved by all who knew him.

He was a great lover of God’s word and spent much of his time reading and studying it. Being blessed with good health and a strong will he was self-supporting until his departure. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church near Crocker with Rev. James Routh officiating. Interment was in the Antioch cemetery under direction of Hedges Funeral home of Crocker.

Pall bearers were Freddy Thompson, Dilbert McKinnon, Jess Ray, Joe Helms, James Routh, Paris McKinnon, and Leonard Hedrick.
