April 20, Albert Christeson called home. Albert Christeson of Waynesville, brother of P. A. Christeson and Mrs. R.C. Roose of Dixon, died last Tuesday in Waynesville after a long illness.
Mr. Christeson was one of the best known and most liked business men of the county., having been in the hardware business a number of years. On account of his affliction he gave up his business a few months ago and assumed charge of the office of the County Treasurer, for which he was unanimously chosen by the voters of the county. His un-expired term will likely be filled by his wife, who has recently been acting in his stead.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Millard Shockley and internment was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the rites of the Masonic Order of which he was an esteemed member.
He leaves his wife, mother, seven sisters and one brother.
To know Albert Christeson was to be his friend. He was a true Christian and had informed his relatives and friends that he was ready and prepared to meet the death messenger.
