James Henry Allison d. June 30, 1990

Funeral services for Sgt. 1st Class (Ret) James Henry Allison, 41, of Waynesville, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the greater Community Baptist Church, Waynesville, under direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Burial will be Friday, July 6 in the National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C. under the direction of the Noble-Kelsey Funeral Home.

Mr. Allison, a retired U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class, was currently working for the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City. He died Saturday evening, June 30, in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17, to miles north of Iberia.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 3, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Iris; two sons, Carl of Fayeteville, N.C. and Marcus of Waynesville; four daughters, Sonia of Salisbury, N.C., Fantasia, Melanie, and Tracie, all of Waynesville; his mother, Lucille Caldwell, Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters, Elizabeth Walkin and JoAn Bratcher, both of Salisbury, N.C.; four brothers, Norman Alexander of Michigan, Leon and Roscoe Alexander, both of Salisbury, N.C. and Willie Alexander of Virginia; and nieces and nephews.
