Harry Frederick Wilson 1909-1990

Harry Frederick Wilson, 81, died Monday, July 9, in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield after a short illness. He was born in Stellville, Missouri on February 6, 1909, the son of Otis S. and Rosa C. Key Wilson.

On December 24, 1935, he married Lena P. King.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Lena of the home, his daughter, Linda and her husband, Palmer Hewlett of Dixon, and one grandson, Douglas Wilson Roam of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Christian Church in Crocker. He worked many years in the Crocker Post Office and then Ft. Leonard Wood Post Office where he retired. He was active until later years with the church, the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and other community functions.

Funeral services were held in the Crocker Christian Church, on Wednesday, July 11, 1990, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Merwyn McMillan officiating, assisted by Floyd Barlow. Serving as his escorts were Junior Adamson, Chris Adamson, Richard Tingle, Jim Henderson, Hal Sell, and Larry Salveter. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Newcomb and John Elliott.
