Edwin (Eddie) Jeffries (1904-1984)

Edwin (Eddie) Jeffries was born on November 19, 1904 in Hocking, the son of David and Mary Jeffries. 

He attended rural school in Melcher area.

He was a World War II veteran.

Prior to his death, he was a taxi driver in Waynesville.

Graveside services for Edwin (Eddie) Jeffries, 79, of Waynesville, Missouri, who died June 10, 1984 at University Hospitals in Columbia, Missouri, were held at the Dallas Cemetery on June 18 with Reverend James Patrick officiating.  Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by one son, Robert Dale, of Colorado, one daughter, April Ann, of California; three brothers, Harold of Portland, Oregon and Howard and Philip of Indianola; and one sister, Mrs. Everett (Margaret) Hayes of Knoxville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John; three sisters, Mrs. Herb (Jennie) Pine, Mrs. Pat (Mildred) Patterson, and Mary Ann.
