Harold Keith Garrett, 74, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his home in Dixon.
He was born Feb. 11, 1935, in Success, son of Jasper and Clara Garrett. He and Margaret Riley were married June 20, 1958.

Upon graduating from high school, he worked 17 years at Waltz's studio at Fort Leonard Wood. He then worked 41 years for Tri-County Hardware in Dixon.
He was an active member of Briarwood Baptist Church near Dixon. He was an Army veteran and active in his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles; and two sisters, Lorene and Gladys.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four sons, Brian of Springfield, Dennis and Mike of Dixon and David of Buffalo; a daughter, Brenda Garrett of Crocker; three brothers, Bud of Bucyrus and Ralph and Bob of Success; four sisters, Maxine Johnson and Judy Hutsell of Linden, Texas, Imogene Collins of Success and Sudie York of Rolla; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
