Burchard Cemetery, also known as Saling Cemetery, is located in Pulaski County, MO., just south of Waynesville, Missouri. It is on private property, the Laughlin Farm, at the Interstate 44 Roubidoux Bridge on Spring Road. Tombstone Inscriptions of Pulaski County reports that it is in extremely bad condition. This may partially be due to frequent flooding from the Roubidoux Creek and years of neglect. The latest recorded burial took place in 1921 when Louisiana Phillips was laid to rest here. The earliest recorded burial was that of M.E. Burchard who was laid to rest in 1862. Burchard Cemetery was most likely named after the Burchard family, who probably were landowners in this part of Pulaski County. Coincidentally, there are no recorded burials for the surname Saling. It is assumed that the Saling family owned this property after the Burchard family.
