Hooker Cemetery is located in Pulaski County, MO., in the old town of Hooker, Missouri. The cemetery is located on the original alignment of Route 66. At one time, Hooker was also known as Basket Town, due to the families that weaved baskets and sold their wares to tourist as they traveled "The Mother Road". This road was also known as State Route 14 at one time, and is now known as Trophy Lane. It is off of the 4 lane alignment of Route 66 between J Highway and Devil’s Elbow, Missouri.
Hooker Cemetery is a medium sized cemetery for this area and the earliest stone dates to 1891 and belongs to J.T. Plake. There are only a handful of stones that date before 1900, and one for Gustav Wieners that died “late 1800”.
