Uncle Solomon Bartlett died about 4 o'clock Monday, Feb. 26, 1917. The deceased was born in Moniteau County, Nov. 2, 1831, age at time of death, 85 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Mr. Bartlett was one of the pioneer settlers of this county, having settled here in 1857, and had the honor of representing Pulaski County in the 23rd General Assembly, in 1865. He was, at all times, held in high esteem by his many friends. This man was very active in business and social affairs during his early life, and was for many years proprietor of the Bartlett Springs Mill, retiring from the milling business at the age of 80 years.
He is survived by one brother, two sisters, and one son. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Baptist church by his pastor, J.S. Jesse, after which the remains were conveyed to the family cemetery near Bartlett Springs, the burial being in charge of the Masonic Lodge.
