BETTY JANE VLASHE, 1906-1990

Betty Jane Vlashe, 84, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1990, in the St. Anthony Hospital of St. Louis. He was born in Tribune, MO, on Sept. 5, 1906, the daughter of Leroy and Leona York Thomas.

She married George Vlashe in 1965. He died in September, 1972.

Mrs. Vlashe is survived by her sister, Alma Howser of Dixon, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Earl, Charlie and infant Pryor Thomas; and her sister, Mae Smith.

She had been a member of the Christian Church in Dixon since she was 16 years old.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Home in Dixon on Thursday, Sept. 13, 1990, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Serving as her pallbearers were Cy Steward, Bill Robbins, Chee and Archie Whitaker, Jimmy Evans and Maurice Schierbaum.
