Nellie O. Allen, 84, daughter of George Hurley and Lucille May Hurley, was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on August 29, 1908 and dled July 26, 1993 in Springfleld, Mo. On June 26, 1923 she was united ln marriage with Elmer Allen,and to this union were born three sons and one daughter. A son, Lloyd Allen, preceded her in death.
She lived in the Richland area most of her life. She enjoyed quilting and reading.
Those surviving include her daughter, Ruby Patton of Stoutland; two sons, Tommy Allen of Richland and Wayne Allen of Lone Jack, Mo.; a half brother. Jack Roblnson; a niece, Louise Hudson of Davenport, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; her parents; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; and by several brother and sisters.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at the Colonial Funeral Chapel in Richland, MO, with Harvey Dye, Minister, officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Escorts were Roger Allen, Mike Allen, Mark Patton, Larry Patton, Tim Patton and Thomas Glenn Allen. Honorary escorts were Larry Hudson, Lloyd Patton, Eddie Hudson and Charles Sullivan.
Colonial Funeral Chapels were in charge of the servlces.
