GLEN HARRISON BETHUREM, 1907-1985

Glen Harrison Bethurem, son of William and Dora Marshall Bethurem, was born January 7, 1907 at Stoutland, MO, and departed this life February 28, 1985, in Ellis Fischel State Cancer Center, Columbia, MO.
On February 18, 1931, he was united in marriage with Pearl Gideon and to this union were born four children, all surviving.
As a young man Glen professed his faith in Christ and united with the Stoutland Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl, of the home; one son, Morris, of Springfield, MO; three daughters, LaVera Millingam, Julia Butteris and Deborah Kinworthy, all of Stoutland, MO; one sister, Mrs. Marjory Frederick, Montreal, MO; three brothers, Waldo of Richland, MO, Ralph of Crocker, MO, and Lee of Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rose Mary, and two brothers, James and Forrest Bethurem.
Glen was a good Christian husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held from the Stoutland Baptist Church Monday, March 4, 1985, with Lindell Vawter, Minister, officiating. Burial was in the Stoutland Cemetery under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapels.
Escorts were: Larry Jones, Willie Crabtree, Raymond Marshall, Richard Hage, Bill Wagner and Bill Frederick.
