WALTER A. ALEXANDER. 1914-1990

Walter A. Alexander was born in Brumley MO, on August 5, 1914, the son of William and Malinda Luttrell Alexander, and passed away suddenly on May 26, 1990. He had attained the age of 74 years, 9 months and 21 days.
He was united in marriage to Goldie M. McDowell on October 1, 1935, in Waynesville.
Walter is survived by his wife, Goldie of the home; one brother, Bernie of Victorville CA; and three sisters, Dora Keith and Alma Robbinett of Wapto, WA, and Dorothy Ash of Villa Ridge, MO; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl, and three sisters, Mary Thornton, Emma Robbinett, and Amanda Rowden, and his parents.
He became a member of Christ Church and was a faithful member for many years. He was a carpenter at Ft. Leonard Wood for over 35 years, being a carpenter and farmer by trade. He lived in Miller and Pulaski Counties all of his life and will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Home in Crocker on Tuesday, May 29, 1990, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Lee Todd and Farris Wall officiating. Burial was in Hawkeye Cemetery.
Serving as his pallbearers were Cecil and Calvin Penland, Wayne Moneymaker, Clark Slawson, Dennis Cochran, and Clay Duncan.
