Edmund Fitzgerald Morgan 1979-2010

Edmund Fitzgerald Morgan, son of Gerald Morgan and Barbara Ann (Sroka) Morgan, was born June 28, 1979, in Milwaukee, Wis.
As a young boy, Eddie attended school on Fort Leonard Wood, and then transferred to the Waynesville School District, where he earned his GED.
Eddie loved spending time with family and friends. He was very artistic, loving to draw and write poetry.
He loved to cook and grilling was his favorite.
He enjoyed basketball, football and making people laugh.
Eddie passed away at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood at the age of 31 years and 6 months.
He will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Gerald Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Barbara Morgan of St. Robert; three siblings: Karen Szuszka of Springfield, Timothy Szuszka of San Antonio, Texas, and Theresa Morgan of Rolla; brother-in-law, James White of Rolla; one sister-in-law, Susan Szuszka of San Antonio, Texas; his fiancé, Somer Smith of St. Robert; eight nieces and nephews: Dana Anthony Taylor, Timothy Redell Szuszka, Shilo Christina Szuszka, Brittany Crews, Tyler Crews, Jordan White, Kyleigh White and Jalen White; other relatives and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Irene and Edmund Sroka, and his paternal grandparents, Guy and Beulah Morgan and James Taylor.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville and St. Robert with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating.
Serving as escorts were Patrick Wadley, Jermiah Wright, James White, David St. Peirre, Ernie Montoya, Alvin Lane and Tommy York. Serving as honorary escorts were Jerry Morgan, Timothy Szuszka, Timothy R B Szuszka and Dana Taylor.
Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eddie Morgan and may be left at the funeral home.
