Harold Jack Martin 1946-2011

Harold Jack Martin, son of the late Noel Mack and Evelyn (Barlow) Martin was born on October 3, 1946 in Waynesville, Missouri. He passed away from this life at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home. Harold had attained the age of 64 years, 8 months, 20 days.

Harold grew up in Waynesville, Missouri. He graduated from high school and joined the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Harold attained the rank of E-8 BTCS (SW). His military achievements consisted of: Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (Third Award), Navy “E” Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal (Second Award), Meritorious Unit Commendation (Second Award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Recruiting Ribbon, Good Conduct (Fourth Award). On February 21, 2011 Harold was united in marriage to Frankie Lynn (Chavis). They shared several months together.

In his spare time, Harold, enjoyed swimming, fishing, and playing poker. He also liked to hunt birds, mainly pheasant and quail. Harold was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Waynesville, Missouri. He was president of the Pulaski County Pool League.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Frankie Martin of the home; two step-children: Charlene Nicks and Paige Urzi, both of St. Robert; one sister: Judy Brown (Benny) of Crocker, MO; nephew: Shaun Stewart of Waynesville, MO; two grandchildren: Jason Alexander and Dominic Urzi; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Brenda Martin and Pat Stankiewicz; and one brother: James Martin.
