Opal Lee (Morrow) Wagner 1911-2005

Opal Lee Wagner, one of five children born to the union of the late Houston and Mary Agnes (Lane) Morrow, was born November 6, 1911 at Moab, Missouri in Pulaski County.

She departed this life the evening of October 19, 2005 in her home at Barnhart, Missouri, at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 13 days.

On March 2, 1995 in Miami, Oklahoma, Opal married William Wagner. Bill preceded her in death on May 18, 2005.

Opal was employed as a file clerk for civil service in St. Louis for over 30 years. She enjoyed exploring genealogy, working in her flower garden, cooking and visiting with family and friends.

Opal is survived by several stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Opal was preceded in death by her brother: Lawrence Morrow and three sisters: Mildred Brown, Eunice Willoughby and Jeanette McCulloch.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 22, 2005 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville with Rev. Richard Breeden officiating. Soloist Becky Lercher sang "Amazing Grace and "Peace In The Valley. Serving as escorts were family and friends.

Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville.
