Martha (Long) Strutton 1900-1981

Martha Strutton was born in Crocker, Mo., on September 22, 1900, the daughter of Tommy and Elizabeth Long and passed away in the Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri on Saturday, May 16, 1981.  She had attained the age of 80 years. 

She was united in marriage to Albert Strutton on January 12, 1921 and 9 children survive.

Mrs. Strutton was a member of the Mt. Union Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, 3 daughters, Aileen Long and May Beal of Dixon, and Glynis Brown of Kansas City, 6 sons, Gerald Strutton of Crocker, Farrell, Gene, Raymond, and Claude Strutton of Kansas City and Carl Jr. of Sugar Creek, Mo., and Tommy Strutton of Iberia, 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter, 4 sisters, Grace Holler of Kansas City, Evelyn Walls of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Ora Becker of Crocker, and Irene Jennings of Oak Grove, Mo, 5 brothers, Willis Long of Crocker, Otha and Oda Long of Richland, Claude Long of Kansas City and Gilbert Long of Lee Summitt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Bobby Wayne on March 25, 1969, 3 step-sons, Albert Jr., Walter and Archie and 1 sister Eva Long and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Pleasant Hill Church with Farris Wall officiating on Tuesday, May 19, 1981 at 1:00 p.m..  Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Moss-Williams Funeral Home of Crocker.  Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
