Benjamin N. Ritzert 1979-2009

PITTSBURGH – Benjamin N. Ritzert, 30, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.
Ben was born Sept. 3, 1979, in Butler to Donald K. Ritzert and Diane L. Fallecker Hamilton.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland. He enjoyed puzzles, fishing and the company of his family and friends.
Ben is survived by his parents, Donald K. Ritzert and his wife Barbara of Dixon, and Diane L. Fallecker Hamilton and her husband John of Pittsfield, Ill.. Also surviving are three sisters: Crystal S. McAllister and her husband Kory of Pearl, Ill., Emily C. Hamilton and Natalie Hamilton, both of Pittsfield, Ill.; two brothers: Shawn Hudson and his wife Tarnee of Mechanicsburg, Va., and Thomas Hudson of Dixon; two nephews: Nate and Weston McAllister of Pearl, Ill.; a niece, Kilyn Oxley of Pittsfield, Ill.;, his paternal grandmother, Mary N. Ritzert of Chicora, and his maternal grandmother, Sue Fallecker Green of Chicora, as well as number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herbert R. Ritzert, and his maternal grandfather, Joseph D. Fallecker Jr.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 6 – 9 p.m. Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland, with Rev. William J. Ritzert, Chaplain at the Butler VA Medical Center and Ben’s great uncle, officiating.
Interment will follow at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
Memorial contributions in Ben’s name may be made to Western PA School for the Deaf, Development Office, 300 East Swissvale Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
