Ivy Sybal (Jones) King 1908-1984

Ivy Sybal King, daughter of Jim and Grace Clarington Jones, was born in Shamrock, Texas on July 11, 1908, and departed this life August 9, 1984 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

She was united in marriage with Roy King on November 22, 1930.

Sybal was a member of the Christian Church in Richland for nearly 30 years, and recently moved her membership to the Independence Baptist Church.

She was employed as a waitress most of her life, and worked in various states, including Minnesota, Oklahoma, and also Richland in that profession. At home she enjoyed knitting, embroidering, and crocheting, until she lost her eyesight.

Preceding her in death are her parents, and three sisters, Ezma, Bobbie, and Flora May.

Sybal leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Roy, of the home; three brothers, Lewis Jones of the State of Pennsylvania, Franklin Jones of California, and Baxter Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Ruth Jones, of California; and other relatives and friends.

Services for Ivy Sybal King were held at Independence Baptist Church 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 1984. Officiating at the services were Rev. Raymond McClary. Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, soloist, Marcia Shadel, organist. Burial was in the Hazelgreen Cemetery. Escorts were: Ralph Posten, Edward Ozee, David Robinson, Fred Wilson, Richard Robinson, Virgil Shelton. Under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels of Richland, Missouri.
