Adam Reed Patterson 1973-2006

Adam Reed Patterson, son of Rodney Patterson and Phyllis Jean (McKinnon) Patterson, was born May 30, 1973 in Rolla. He grew up in the Waynesville R-VI School District and graduated from Waynesville High School. In 1997, Adam accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the First Baptist Church in St. Robert.

On September 21, 1997, Adam was united in marriage to Macy E. Dean at the First Baptist Church of Waynesville. They shared over 9 years of marriage together and were blessed with three beautiful children: Brendan Reed, Morgan Grace and Mason William.

Adam was a hard worker and provided for his family. He became employed at T.K.'s Pizza in St. Robert in 1990 and bought the business in 2004. He enjoyed his job and has supplied many pizzas to the Waynesville, St. Robert and Fort Leonard Wood area. In his spare time he enjoyed music, whether it was playing the drums, the guitar or teaching his children to play music. He was an avid stamp collector and liked watching and attending baseball games. He was able to take his oldest son, Brendan to a St. Louis Cardinal game this summer. Most importantly, he treasured the times that he spent with his family, especially his children.

Adam passed away Tuesday evening, Sept 26, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital of Fort Leonard Wood at the age of 33 years.

Adam leaves to cherish his memory his wife Macy, and three children: Brendan Reed, Morgan Grace and Mason William; he also leaves his father Rodney Patterson, Jr. and one brother Paul Patterson, both of St. Robert, aunt and uncle Willis and Floyd Selvey of Springfield; aunt and uncle Bo and Kay McKinnon of Richland; uncle Ted Hammock of St. Robert; niece Brittany Patterson of Waynesville; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his mother: Phyllis Jean McKinnon Patterson; brother: James Richard Patterson; one uncle: Donnie McKinnon; one aunt: Fay Hammock; paternal grandparents: Rodney and Lillian (Penny) Patterson; and maternal grandparents: Delmar and Julia May McKinnon.
