Elizabeth Ann (Starr) Glynn 1938-2008

Elizabeth Ann Glynn, daughter of the late Mordecai and Ruth (Brigham) Starr, was born April 9, 1938 in Portland, Indiana. Beth Ann, as she was known to her family and friends, was baptized in a little country Methodist Church outside of Portland when she was an infant. She attended Swamp Hollow Elementary School and graduated from Portland High School. After graduating from high school, Beth Ann attended two years at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Beth Ann was united in marriage to Thomas A. Glynn and they were blessed with three children: Robert, Teresa and Kerri. They shared many wonderful years of marriage together.

Beth Ann was a hardworking woman and while living in Colorado, she was a manager for B & D Appliance in Security, Colorado. She later became an office manager for the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The family then moved to Sebring, Florida before settling in Richland, Missouri area. After moving to Richland, Beth Ann became a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church and attended every time that she was able.

In her spare time, Beth Ann enjoyed watching bears, especially the baby bear that would visit their front porch at their cabin. She loved to travel, and every Saturday night she would have the entire family watch the Lawrence Welk Show on television so they could watch Jack Immel. Jack was a family friend and she was proud of the fact that he had come from her hometown. Most of all, her family was the most important to her and she treasured all the time that she could spend with them, especially the grandchildren.

Beth Ann went home to be with her Lord Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the age of 70 years, 3 months & 18 days.

Beth Ann was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her children: Robert Glynn and his wife Paula of Dixon, MO, Teresa Reynolds and her husband Andy of Perkins, OK and Kerri Gonas and her husband LTC George Gonas of Ft. Drum, NY; seven grandchildren: Natassia, Jeremy, Sara, Delaney, Margaret, Rose and Piper; several other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Beth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and three brothers: Ralph, Tommy and George Starr.

A memorial service was held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Richland, Missouri with Father John Groner officiating.
