Linda Sue Wyatt 1954-2010

Linda Sue Wyatt, daughter of Gerald and Lois (Roam) Wyatt, was born July 21, 1954 in Waynesville, Missouri. She went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 11 days.

As a young girl, Sue attended school in Laquey for the first eight years and then graduated from Waynesville High School. After graduation, she began working at the Pulaski County Abstract office and was a faithful employee for 17 years. She then began working at the Gerald Wyatt Excavating office helping her dad, where she still helped with the bookkeeping.

At an early age, Sue accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Deerlick Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Buckhorn Baptist Church where she led the singing and taught a childrens’ Sunday School class for many years. She was currently a member at Faith Baptist Church of Waynesville.

Sue loved music and enjoyed working with the children at church. She was an avid reader and watched cooking shows on T.V. She was known for sending cards and letters to friends and loved ones to lift their days and she had many telephone friends that she visited with on a regular basis. Even with the struggles of dealing with her health, Sue kept a positive attitude and kept her sense of humor up until the end. She will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Sue leaves to cherish her memory her parents: Gerald and Gladys Wyatt of Waynesville, MO; one step-brother: Larry Six (Pati) of Oklahoma City, OK; two step-sisters: Donna Hickey (Lee) and Janell York (Jimmy) all of Waynesville, MO; step-grandmother: Mildred Farr of Canton, MO; uncle: Jerry and Eula Roam; aunt: Linda Wyatt; cousins: Millie Crossland, Tommy Roam, Barbara Williams, Nicki McAnich, Eugene and Julie Wyatt; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother: Lois Wyatt; maternal grandparents: Mabel and Glen Roam; paternal grandparents: Bernice and Tommy Wyatt; and uncle: Bill Wyatt.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory with Bro. Mike Curtis and Bro. Charles Newell officiating. Soloist Becky Lercher sang “Beulah Land”, “It Is Well With My Soul” and “Ten Thousand Years”.
