Loretta Fay (Wright) Stevens 1938-2003

Loretta Fay Stevens, daughter of the late Warner and Rachel (Reed) Wright was born Sept. 8, 1938 in Oklahoma. 

When Loretta was very young, the family moved to Ropesville, Texas where she grew up and attended school.
Loretta worked in the deli at the Pavillion for several years while living in the Los Angeles, Calif. area. She moved to the St. Robert area in 2000 where she worked in the deli department for Smitty's Grocery in Waynesville, and was currently employed with Wal-Mart in St. Robert. 

Loretta enjoyed a special talent of working with wood. She took great pride in the many pieces of fine furniture she made. 

Loretta departed this life Thursday morning, August 11, 2003 at her home near St. Robert at the age of 65 years. 

Loretta will be sadly missed by four children: Gene Hicks and his wife Nelissa of Chino, Calif., Art Hicks and his wife Kristi of Bakersfield, Calif., Theresa Stevens Hickock of Bakersfield, Calif. and Vickey Leach and her husband Marc of St. Robert; two sisters: Patsy Cummings of Colorado Springs, Col. and Berniece Hicks of the State of Oklahoma; one brother: Gus Wright of the State of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery with Minister Stan Little officiating. Serving as escorts were Art and Gene Hicks and Christopher, Jeremiah and Marc Leach. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
