He spent his early life in Pulaski County and attended Richland High School. In 1940 he moved to Reno, Nevada.
He had retired from O.N.C. Truck Lines after 30 years of service and in 1972 received the award for truck driver of the year.
At an early age he made his confession of faith in Christ and was baptized and became a member of the Macedonia Christian Church.
Those left to mourn his passing include his wife Edna of the home; a son Mike of Reno; one brother Arthur of Richland and four sisters, Artie Clark, Bertha Mackney and Blanche Shivers, all of Richland and Nicksie Harris of Lebanon and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cliffie Jean Buser.
