Maureen (Grambach) Zukowski 1949-2006

Maureen Zukowski, daughter of Herman Grambach and Maureen Ellen (Chappe) Gribo was born March 4, 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan.

Maureen was confirmed at age 14 into the Holy Catholic Church. She was a 1967 graduate of Waynesville High School. After high school she earned several credit hours from Drury University.

Maureen worked in several area restaurants in the Waynesville and Crocker area. She worked at Witmor Farms and Jeannie's Cafe to mention a few. She always enjoyed serving her customers and cherished the friendships she made.

Maureen enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved animals, especially her pet cat "Freddie Mercury". She enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her seven grandchildren.

Maureen departed this life Sunday morning, November 19, 2006 at her home in Crocker, Missouri at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 14 days. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Maureen is survived by 5 children: David Medlock of Jefferson City, Krista Keeth of Crocker, Christopher Wayne Medlock and Sarah Elizabeth Medlock both of Iota, LA and Amber Joy Soens of Phoenix, AZ; the children's father: Wayne Medlock of St. Robert; 7 grandchildren: Kelly Keeth, William Singleton, Kory Gravette, Julian Brantley, Tori Medlock, Jonathan Soens and Madison Medlock; several nieces, nephews, one great niece and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Maureen Ellen Gribo; her step-father: James Gribo; two brothers: Andrew Gribo and Victor Zukowski.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 21 at Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Lee Todd officiating. Family and friends served as escorts. Services were under direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.
