He was employed by Lockheed in Georgia for over ten years and then was employed by Promotive for about four years. After moving to Dixon, Missouri, he became employed with Firestone on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for a short time before opening his own business, Rick's TV Shop. In his spare time, Rick enjoyed planes, working on cars, building different projects and listening to country and oldies music. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing or just sitting on his front porch at night looking at the stars. He treasured the times that he could spend with his family and friends, but especially bowling with the kids. He was a Boy Scout leader and a member of ASE.
