Alba was a hard worker in her church. She was a faithful member of the Licking Church of Christ until her health failed at which time she was not able to be out and around. She was always doing for someone else and also was a homemaker, great cook, made many quilts, embroidered pillow cases, and made several of her own clothes. She loved to garden, work with her flowers, and she worked hard in planting and harvesting her garden produce.
Alba moved from the Waynesville area after the death of her husband, Glen to be closer to her family in Licking.
Later, Alba and her sister Elta moved to Licking Senior Citizen Housing, just across the side walk from each other. You could see them together often, before and after this move. After her sister Elta’s health started to fail and she moved to the Kansas City area, and since Alba’s health was failing, she moved into Licking Park Manor Care Center, where she lived for the past seven years.
Alba was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Flossie Caton, brothers: Alfred, Norman, and Cub; and one sister, Elta Welch.
