Cora Lee (Yakley) Logan 1884-1960

Cora Lee Logan, daughter of William and Anna Yakley, was born in Pulaski County on November 26, 1884 and departed this life at the Cedar Grove Nursing Home in Lebanon, Missouri on July 24, 1960 at the age of 75 years past.

She had been a patient at the Nursing Home for the past 7 years and was in failing health for ten years.

On March 25, 1911, she was united in marriage to Alex Logan and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1955. She had lived practically all of her life in the Waynesville community.

Those left to mourn her passing are: four step-granddaughters, Mrs. Myrtle Long and Mrs. Loretta Benavidez of Waynesville, Mrs. Ruth Moll of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Bessie Hill of St. Louis; two step-grandsons, Robert Logan of Waynesville and Alex Williams of West Plains, Missouri. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one half-sister and two step-children.

When a young girl she was converted and at the time of her passing she was a member of the Waynesville Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Waynesville Methodist Church with the Rev. George Turner officiating. Interment was in the Bradford Cemetery under direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Waynesville.

Pallbearers were: Ewell Johnson, G. Lane, W. Doolin, J.M. Dodds, Dorsey Rayl and C. Long.
