David L. Cahill 1959-2005

David L. Cahill, son of Dennis R. and Alma Yeuvene (Maguire) Luckinbill, was born February 17, 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

When David was a young boy, his family moved to the Pulaski County, Missouri area where he attended school in Waynesville and Laquey.

For a while, David lived in Springdale, Arkansas where he worked for the Dodson Company and later for Butch Miller Glass. For the last several years, David made his home in Shell City, Missouri. He attended the Harmony Baptist Church in Barton County. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.

David departed this life the evening of January 21, 2005 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near El Dorado Springs, Missouri, at the age of 45 years, 11 months and 4 days.

He will be sadly missed by his father: Dennis Luckinbill of St. Clair; one son: David Leroy Williams and his wife, Shala of Marshfield; one step-daughter: Jessica Tinder; one sister: Irlene Crossland of Waynesville; one brother: Danny Medley of Flemington; one step-brother: Don Painter; one grandson: Westen Williams; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Alma Luckinbill and one sister: Delores Jane Medley.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. The songs "Glory Days" and "Copperhead Road" were played just before the service and the song "I Call It Home" was played during the service. Serving as escorts were Danny, Matt and Michael Medley, Mervin Miller and David Williams.

Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested in memory of David Cahill to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
