Marion Elizabeth (Reed) Hauck 1932-2005

Marion Elizabeth Hauck, one of two children born to the union of the late Arnold and Helen (Johnson) Reed, was born July 30, 1932 at Jefferson, Pennsylvania in Washington County, where she grew up and graduated from high school.

On August 4, 1949 in Russell, Kentucky, Marion was united in marriage with Ralph W. Hauck, Sr., and to this union, two sons, Ralph and Bobby, and two daughters, Shirley and Patricia, were born.

Since Ralph was a career Army soldier, the Hauck family lived in many areas of the country. Upon Ralph's retirement, he and Marion settled in the Roby, Missouri area where they lived for 14 years. Marion worked at the Fort Leonard Wood Post Exchange and later at the St. Robert Wal-Mart. When Ralph passed away in 1985, Marion moved to St. Robert where she made her home until 2004 when her health failed and she moved to the Willow Creek Nursing Center in Belleville, Illinois.

Marion departed this life the morning of September 3, 2005 at the Belleville Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 3 days.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children: Ralph Hauck and Shirley New both of Belleville, Illinois and Patricia Reagin of Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Marion was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2005 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Breeden officiating. The songs "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" were played. Serving as escorts were Ralph Hauck, Jr., Steve New, Joe Reagin, Ryan Reagin, Tommy Utman and Rob Workman.

Burial followed in the Palace Union Cemetery of Evening Shade, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
