He was united in marriage to Aleene Forbes in August of 1913. To this union was born in four children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one infant daughter and one daughter, Ruby, one son Donald, and four sisters, Alie, Dora, Georgia and Ida, two brothers, Robert and Cecil.
Alf has lived and farmed in the Pulaski County area all of his life. He worked for the Algoa Reformatory.
He leaves to mourn his passing, one son, Chares, of Richland; two brothers, Tom Sanders of Newburg, Missouri; Fred Sanders of Herculeaneum, Missouri; three sisters, Lena Long of Richland; Evelyn Williams and Gladys Carter, both of Waynesville; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Alf Sanders were held Saturday, October 14, 1978, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Pryor Ray Prewitt officiating. Interment was in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
