Mr. Smith was a retired farmer in the Richland community and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie M.; one son, Jerry of Crocker; one daughter, Gertrude Forner of Springfield; 5 brothers, Henry, Sherman, and Floyd Smith of Modesto, California, Dallas of Houston, Missouri, Dewey of Roby, one sister, Bessie Page of California, 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Green Lawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, Missouri.
Burial will be in East Lawn cemetery, under the direction of the Greenlawn Funeral Home South with Dr. Herbert Hillmee officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, September 27th from 7 to 8 p.m.
