Emmett O. Shockley 1882-1980

Emmett O. Shockley, formerly of Waynesville, son of Oliver W. and Elizabeth Lewis born in Waynesville September 20, 1882, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 1980 at the Stover Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for the past eight years, having attained the age of 97.

He was affiliated with the Baptist Church and retired a farmer. He had lived in the Eldon area for the past fifteen years.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 18, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. at the Griswold-Kays Funeral Home at Eldon with Rev. Kenneth Carpenter officiating. Burial was in the
