Ethel Mae (Cusick) Firestine 1908-1972

Services Held April 15th for Mrs. Ethel Firestine

Ethel Mae Firestine, daughter of Thomas and Minnie Cusick was born on August 9, 1908 at Laquey, Missouri and departed this life at the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital on April 11, 1972, after having attained the age of 63 years past.

On July 25, 1928 she was united in marriage to Fred Firestine and of this union, six children were born. One daughter, Shirley, preceded her in death.

Survivors include, her husband, Frederick of Waynesville, Missouri, four sons, Harry of Waynesville; Charles of Webster Groves, Missouri; John of Whittier, California; Eugene of Gardena, California; one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Brown of Pasadena, Texas. Two brothers, Simy Cusick of Albequerke, New Mexico, and Louie Carmack of Waynesville. Two sisters, Cora Hamilton and Gertie Bailey, both of Kansas City, Missouri. Fourteen grandchildren and 1 great grand-child, as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, 1972 at the Hopewell Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Lyle Cox officiating. Interment was in the Big Piney Cemetery under the direction of Moss-Williams Funeral Home of Waynesville, Missouri.
