Jeretta Welmet (Hudgens) Dye 1917-1976

Jeretta Welmet (Hudgens) Dye, daughter of Richard Hudgens and Minnie Lee Hudgens was born in the Cedar Rock community in Texas County, August 17, 1917 and passed away in the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital after attaining the age of 58 years.

Mrs. Dye accepted Christ at a early age and was a member of the Buckhorn Baptist Church at the time of her passing.

Jeretta Hudgens was united in marriage January 24, 1937 to Arthur L. Dye and to this union 4 children were born. Two sons Danny Dye of Waynesville, and Frank Dye of Chillicothe and Two daughters, Helen Fleischer of Waynesville and Hazel Scherer of Cranberry, New Jersey.

She is survived by her husband Arthur, their four children, 9 grandchildren, one brother, Loren Hudgens of Roby, Missouri, two sisters Ruth Crews of Roby, Missouri and Freda Poe of Licking, Missouri, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and a sister, and one granddaughter.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday , June 2, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. at the Buckhorn Baptist Church with Rev. Don Martin officiating, Music was by Organist: Linda Wyatt, Soloist; Gilbert Crisman, Pallbearers were: George Berry, Tracie Storie, Charles Storie, Dennis Crews, Elmer Crews, and Robert Kimrey. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Long-Moss-Williams Funeral Homes Inc. of Waynesville, Missouri.
