John Alex Thomas 1962-2009

LAQUEY – John Alex Thomas, 46, of Laquey, was born Dec. 25, 1962, in San Mateo, Calif., a son of John Alexander and Helen Frances Higgenbotham Thomas.
John departed this life Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, in his residence near Laquey.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his birth mother, Mona Elouise Thomas Crossland; one brother, Jesse Thomas and one sister, Vicki Thomas.
John had attended Ideuma Baptist Church, Laquey and had worked in the heating and cooling business doing installation and maintenance. John was a hard working person, always diligent in providing for the needs of his family.
Those left to mourn the passing of John include: the love of his life, Pam Huey; one son, Jesse Thomas, of Laquey; two daughters: April Thomas-Moreland and Misty Thomas, both of Laquey; two brothers: Jack Thomas, of Ohio, and Todd Crossland of Laquey; three sisters: Jane Blackwood, of Ohio, Dixie Siegel, of West Virginia, and Helen Warren, of Laquey; five grandchildren: Josh, Rebecca, River, Buffy and Willow.
A private celebration of life for John will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at John’s residence in Laquey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
