Minnie Ina (Hale) Evans Goodman 1922-2009

Minnie Ina Evans Goodman, of Dixon, was born on September 8, 1922, in Miller County, a daughter of Fredrick and Maude (Hale) Howser and departed this life at 12:15 P.M., Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at her residence in Dixon. She had attained the age of 86 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Mrs. Goodman was united in marriage on September 23, 1938, at Vienna, to Floyd R. Evans and to this union six children were born. She was later united in marriage in May 1995 to Harold Goodman. She was preceded in death by her first husband on June 6, 1987; her second husband in 1998; four sons, Melvin Evans, Alston Evans, Danny Evans and Charles Fredrick Evans; three brothers, Monroe Howser, Alston Howser and Robert Howser and one sister, Evie Goodman.

Mrs. Goodman had attended Santee Church near Dixon, she loved quilting, putting puzzles together and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon for 30 years and later for Missouri Home Care for 5 years.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Goodman include: one son, Paul Evans, Lake of the Ozarks; one daughter, Judy Parham, Dixon; one brother, Virgil Howser, Dixon; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date in the Freedom Cemetery near Dixon.
